Customer acquisition cost definition - Cost as viewed by the advertiser that it costs to obtain a customer. Obtaining a customer can mean be a variety of levels, and has corresponding costs.
Impression definition - The act of showing an advertisement to a user. There can be several impressions shown on one page (if there is more than one ad unit on the page).
Pageview definition - The amount of pages that a user views when on a website.
Monetization definition - The amount of revenue generated from a web site or a web page. For example “You can monetize this website in several different ways”.
SEM (Search Engine Marketing) definition - This is the practice of purchasing keywords from a search engine such as Google or Yahoo! Advertisers pay in exchange for preferential placement in search engine results.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) definition - This is the practice of optimization of a web site for certain keywords so when users ping search engines, a web publishers results come back above other results. Search Engine Optimization has no cost to the web publisher, although advisory services are available from SEO experts.
Traffic Exchange definition - Can take the form of any exchange of traffic on the Internet including, link exchanges, banner exchanges, photo exchanges, etc. The basic premise is that you send a user away from your site in exchange for receiving a user at a later time period. If you can control when the user moves away from your website, traffic exchanges can be great tools (opposed to just loosing the user to another website, you can control where they go to and receive a user back). In this little post I'm going to give you a first introduction about Adsense highest paying keywords. Lets start! Adsense has high paying keywords, and the PPC could go up to more then 60$! Finding these keywords is easy.

Finding good keywords that pay good that's hard. The most common keywords that pay very well are keywords of the medical world. A classic word that you can find on almost every keyword list is mesothelioma . Go check it yourself you will find thiskeyword everywhere! I would say this is probably a good paying keyword but, it is a keyword with to much competitors.

If you want to earn money you need to find a keyword with less competitors and a good traffic. Easyer said then done. In your search for these keywords not even one keyword list on the net will help you, unless you are the first person that has viewed the list.

2:Market Samurai uses Google data and it's very rich on features. It isn't always 100% correct but it has the most functionality of all tools that I've seen. 3:Google Adwords I didn't used it a lot but, what I've noticed about it that I frequently had wrong data..However it has some functionality that other tools don't have.

Other Interesting Websites That could Help You With Your Search

1:Google Trends this is a great place to find the most searched phrases in the past hour. Commonly updated but it isn't the right way to find your keyword. One day you see the keyword and the next day it's gone! Still it's a great place to know the trends of the day, month. I manly use it for checking my keywords. Another tool of google calledGoogle Insights for Search is far more use-fuller then Google Trends. It can give you a full overview of the past year about a particular keyword or phrase. Don't forget the feature to see phrases that are coming up within your search term.

2:Yahoo Buzz is a place to find great news. This is mainly for blogs that don't write static content. Take a look at it anyway because it could bring up some ideas for your niche. Actually it's just a big google reader with a lot of great content.

For the people that really need a keyword list to get some inspiration , I've found this. It's a great keyword list from where the pageresults are quite low. These keywords pay well, bu it's hard to write about. Try them if you want to, but I've warned they are hard to write about (atleast for me).

A friend of mine recently told me of a website that generates the highest paying keywords for adsense. I thought I might aswell check this out.

Apparently, this is all a big hoax.

Here is a generated list of keywords that the website gave me. These are considered to be the highest paying keywords. However, as you can see there are many inconsistancies with what they are related to.

I have a couple of blogs and experimenting with google adsense. I'm in for only a couple of months, so i actually thought the main thing i need is great traffic.

Things changed when one of my posts (not from this blog) went to reddit top 5. it then appeared at fark and delicious tops also. i had something like 60000 visitors in two days, and earned... well, a dollar or so.

that's the moment i started thiniking about optimizing my pages for adsense.

I already had ads with no borders, and colors were matching my template. i searched web for some answers, and did a couple of things. after that, my CTR increased about 20 times. unfortunately, at that moment traffic was quite low, but i still have some everyday income that is about 20 times higher. here are the simple steps:

Instead of 468x15 Link Unit i put 300x250 Rectangle at the top of my page under it's header.
I made links blue. Yes, people simply expect free links to be blue.
I made ads urls color match text color.

As simple as that! If i did that before, i could get about 150$ in 2 days. So make the changes right now!. If you experience your CTR increase after doing this (belive me, you will!), let me know. Perhaps, next success story will be about you!

Many bloggers wants surfers to be able to apply for permission to view private blogs. Previously this was possible by typing a message (for example email address) into the private blog title. Blogger changed that. Private blogs no longer display blog titles, only the URL of the private blog. Now the only way to get a message to surfers on how to apply for permission to view private blogs is to add that message into the blog URL. Look at the screen shot below for example:

An alert surfers should be able to guess that he or she need to write to myemail@gmail.com to request permission to view blog. As for the blog title, you can set it to whatever you may wish. It is not the ideal solution, but the only available option at the moment unless Blogger changes how private blogs are displayed again.

Advantages of Google AdSense URL and custom channels

One disadvantage of adding Google AdSense directly from Blogger LAYOUT is that you cannot use custom channel to track the performance of your ad units. Fortunately, there is also URL channels which tracks the total earnings from a particular blog (URL). Now if you track the custom channels forAdSense units generated directly from Google AdSense, then by simple subtraction of the total earnings from custom channels from the total earnings for the blog (URL) you can get what is left, that is earnings from the AdSense units inserted directly from the Blogger LAYOUT placed after each each post. This was how I was able to get a Google AdSense channels report for this blog which is my main blog for bloggers.

It is good practice to backup template and backup gadgets. However, not all Blogger gadgets (formerly called Page Elements) can be backed up. The Blogger Link List (blogroll) cannot be backed up. If your blogroll is very long, you may want to put the blogroll in a scroll box. The Blogger Link List (blogroll) also cannot be contained in a scroll box.

My preference for a blogroll had always been to use a HTML/Javascript gadget and hyperlinks instead. I shall detail below the HTML for such a purpose below:

There is one more thing you can do with this method that you cannot (not really cannot, but you will have to tamper with the template) with Blogger Link List - make the links open in new tabs or windows. Update: This post How to change template without losing widgets says widgets (gadgets or Page Elements) can be transferred from the old template to the new template. I have not and probably will not test it out, but if true, you can sort of backup your gadgets including Link List by backing up your template. I probably would not test it out because I have faced enough problems getting bX errors or "your template cannot be parsed ....." messages when changing template for me to prefer to stick with what I have described at backup gadgets (page elements). Small SEO tip - upload an image or images to your blog post whenever you can. Why? I have visitor counters in practically all my blogs and occasionally check them to find out where my visitors are coming from. It is not infrequent that I find hits from image searches. For example, look at a portion of today's hits to Natural Remedies. Of the first 4 hits, 2 (50%) are from image searches.

I am not suggesting that you will get lots of hits from image searches, but I am pretty sure you will get at least some. In fact, in some of my very low traffic blogs, more than 50% of the hits were from image searches. However, to balance things out, this is the highest traffic blog that I have, but I don't get anything even near to 50% of the hits from image searches. I do get at least some from image searches, and for that, I am very grateful.

So if you want hits from search engines, do upload or include () images whenever possible. Do remember also tocomplete the alt="" attribute as search engines cannot read images but they do read the text you put in between the quotation marks "" of the alt="" tag.

However, just so that you do not get too high an expectation, how many hits from image searches will depend on the type of blog you have and its Page Rank.
